I watched the French Connection tonight. I think it's been probably a good 35 years since I'd seen it. There's not a false scene or unnecessary scene in that movie. Especially my favorite chase scene of all time. They couldn't get permits to film but the police took a little money under-the-table You might say, to let them do it.
