Nobody's reporting on it. But it sure appears the clubhouse in twinkville has been renamed the Titanic. The slow drip of info leaking out of the stern of the doomed ship is all on the wrong side of the ledger. It began at the trade deadline when it was reported that the clubhouse was angry that no help was added to a gassed pitching staff and an injury plagued lineup. Since then, Buck has shut himself down twice. Carlos Correa went and had a "procedure" out west on his own. Both Correa & Royce Lewis have gone to the media with their plans before informing the club. It all has the same feel of the diva lead 2021 collapse induced by Josh Donaldsons clubhouse shtick. The same festivus style grievance from the teams current diva core appears to be stinking up the joint with negativity instead of the oft repeated cliche "I'm just blessed to be here" from that same billionaire diva club.
You can't blame them for being pissed. However. We can blame them for mailing it in.
The current home stand started with another quality start backed by near zero hitting.
David Festa did his part.twins hitters backed him up with 1 bad plate appearance after another. Stacking them up like moldy salami slices as they hand the paying fans yet another shlt sandwich.
It's likely to continue. Sure, Pablo Lopez goes tonight. And the road stout angels counter with Griffen GAS-Can- ning. The twinks are a -230 favorite to win this one. But. You win zero games scoring zero runs- every time.
The near likely sweep appears on tap for tomorrow vs youngster Jack Kockawitz.
It won't get better over the weekend. A stud infested group of young Reds comes to town. A team that plays really good on the road, and with team speed that likely induced the Twins into a "snowball fight" error infused closing up of this homestand.
Next Monday the twins go out on their final road trip 7 games through 2 cities. Cleveland & Boston. That trip should just about finish them off.
Will anybody show up then? For the final 6 at home vs Miami & Baltimore. I sure wouldn't buy a seat!
Why would anyone support these guys that quit 10 or 20 days ago.
21-30 since the trade deadline on what was considered the easiest schedule facing any of the 3 AL central horses dashing to the finish.
Angels? +175 today it's a pretty solid bet.
Fade the twinks the rest of the way. They are absolutely done!
Who takes the 3rd wild card?
Detroit, Seattle & Boston have identical records. All 2 over .500. 3 behind the T(wi)ankies.
