Im just hoping that the next 4 weeks shake out to create a week 18 showdown in detroit. And only because- if theres a #1 seed or 1st place on the line? It should be a game worthy of a superbowl party.
Why have week 18? For that matter the expansion from 14 weeks to 16. If the final few weeks have a top set of story lines that featuring "which teams are resting starters". Its bad for the league. Its bad for us fans. And its bad for competition. In the past few years. Many top teams grow stale heading into the playoffs. The result has been some lousy playoff football. Sure. A few good games ... But mostly, 2nd rate games filled with errors & penalties.

There should be a rule. If you losse your last 2 games. You forgeit your playoff spot. Lol- of course im kidding.
But cmon man- weve waited 18 weeks to get to the playoffs. Teams playing to their potential should be a given. Instead- its been more of a rarity.
