Vikes are set to enter the new league year with about $65 million in cap space. That's 7th most in the league. New England leads everyone with a whopping $130 million available to spend. It's funny, with the cap making another huge jump this year it's going to get to the point where some teams will be struggling to meet the cap floor. The cap will be around $280 million this year. Some teams are so tight, they'll never spend that much money. When I was on Spotrac's site, I found it interesting that the Vikes have the 7th oldest team in the league right now. Average age of 27 years. Green Bay has the youngest team at 25 years of age. San Fran was the oldest at 27.6 years. Of course, that will ebb and flow as they sign free agents and draft a couple young guys. |
