Ther're more than a few old gals living in the area that worked at the brothels back in the day. Lol, finding one that admits to being something other than a maid or bartender is a different story. Still. Its part of the history here. Part of the culture.

The brothels were very popular across all demographics. The owners had excellent reputations, that continue to this day. As do the workers. For being community involved, philanthropic and staunchly enforced a no addicts, no criminals, no alcoholics policy. The brothels kept the sheriff dept in new cars and uniforms. Provided uniforms for school teams, bands. Paid for some really nice football fields, baseball fields etc. Their contributions to the " community fund" resulted in the lowest property tax rates in Idaho.

All of this was long before my time here Full disclosure. Ive never been to a brothel. Never bought a hooker. But ive known guys that are/were big fans. One of my brothers came to this area every year to "elk hunt". Funny thing. He never came home with meat and always returned broke. Lol, he and his pals also did an annual bird hunt & a deer hunt in Winnamucca. His wife knew he was off hunting. He told me their guns never left the hotel room on any of these trips. He was a huge fan of brothels.

My point in all of this. My closest friend here in the silver valley. Jim The Barber, he really should be on disability. The guy can barely stand up. Yet, he continues to cut hair. During Covid, he really struggled to make a living. It was back then I suggested to him he open a "Bot Brothel".
It creeped him out. He didnt even care to discuss it. I still think, its a money making idea...

Back to those silver valley brothel days.
According to county statistics. When the Shoshone county brothels were open. Domestic violence calls and rape reports were virtually non existent. Since the closing of the brothels. The reporting of these crimes is in line with national averages.

Meanwhile, AI chat bots have become a thing in the gen z culture. Those who own an ai chat bot are reported to have less feelings of lonliness & fewer "violent thoughts" than their time prior. It is reportedly a mental health crissis/ epidemic. Lonliness amongst the "young crowd".

It may be wierd & pervy to us boomers. Yet, these younger generations have grown up in rpg video game culture. Many spend more time amongst same sex friends playing call of duty- in a month, than they do in conversations with the opposite sex in a year.

It sure seems like a no brainer biz opportunity.
Its not hard to envision the future of bachelor party becoming a night at the bot brothel.

Call me crazy- call me sick in the head.
This is going to become a thing. A wise entrepreneur could get such a biz going with less initial investment than it costs to open a food truck.
