I loved him when he was young. His 1 season at wisconsin. The dude was magic & clutch. There was an argument amongst hawk fans his last couple years in seattle. Was it pete carroll or Russ wilson as they engine that drove their success. Wilson was very good when he had speed/ mobility. Not very good as he aged and he went from a quiet confident guy as a young guy trying to prove something. Only to age into a bit of a disingenuine egocentric arse. The same disorder that has undone aaron rodgers. I think, theyre pretty much the same guy. Too much ego that they fall back on, thinking it will overcome the declined skill set. It doesnt play well in a gen-z lockeroom. If it comes down to one of those 2 guys? I think its better to just stand pat with KidcCarthy & Brett Rypien. Pickup a camp cut if they want a 3rd qb. I do believe, rusty wilson & air-wrong, were prime moment studs. Only to have aged into lockeroom cancer. The proof lay in those moments where denver & pittsburgh laid down under wilson. as well as the complete & total underperformance of a jets roster that is actually loaded up with talent. Its a team sport 1st & foremost. Those 2 old qb's only see team in the equation of creating a walk away legacy moment. |
