Ive also heard political analysts discussing the gen z demographic and offering the same insight.

Genz: doesnt care what came before them with any sense of nostalgia or respect for history, Sacrafices, nor hardships. They want their turn- NOW. anybody older than them. Needs to get out of the way. They want their turn right now. Without advice, certainly without the- pay your dues- apprenticeship stuff we did at their age.

Never met the guy, but my observation from very far outside- JJ McCarthy is an uppercrust kid of white privilege. I dont mean that as a slam. Its just a fact.... Ready or not- in his mind. This is his time. If McCarthy is healthy. Having a front line starter in the wings will not play well in 2025. The Vikings need a bum that knows his role.

My Grampa woulda grabbed em by the ear left handed & broke their jaw, nose, eye socket with 3 right crosses and then kicked em in the back of the head before he walked away mumbling some Italian curse upon their mother. Grampa fought in ww1, survived steerage coming to america. Was a steel worker in NYC in the mid 20'S& them migrated to northern minnesota to live in a tin shack and dig ore in the Mesabi mines until he was 74. Lived to be 96- finally succumbing to stomach cancer. Never missed a day of work, back when they pulled 10 hour shifts with only sundays off. & Ya know- he was happy. Full of life. Eager to laugh, sing & dance. But man. If you complained or distespected any elder or woman. He was quick to feed you knuckles. He stood 5-9. I doubt he ever weighed 170. But his hands were the size of a baseball glove & he was strong as an ox.

I can only imagine what hed have to say to the kids of today. Hed be about 135 now. Hed probably whoop just about all of them.

Btw, when ww1 ended in france? When the armistice was signed. Nov 1918- He & his fellow italian conscripts walked back to his hometown in the italian alps. No money, no food. 7 month walk. Mostly through winter.
