#1 problem. SCOTUS decision known as "citizens united". Allows unlimited "dark money" into political campaigns. In the 15 years since. The ability to track the source of unlimited contributions has completely vanished i heard it said the other day, the amount has increased 800 fold. Not 800%. 800 fold is 8000%. Democrats are known for playing by the rules. Or at least attempting to. Republicans are of the belief. Its only a crime is you serve time. #2. Democrats actually believe in truth. Facts. The Latin- VERITAS. Im guilty as charged, but i havent belonged to the dem party since 2008. I changed my registration to independent back When Obama beat Hilary in the primary. Hilary clamored for campaign finance reform and Obama refused. That was my moment in time. When I understood we the working man were screwed. Obama was a helluva salesman. But he wound up being as big a part of the problem as the reds. From that point forward- politics became 100% about the money. It was always a huge decisive factor. But up until then. There was hope. 2 years after. Citizens united became campaign law. And now, 15 years later. The annual US budget could be balanced if the campaign$ were used instead to pay for policy. #3- you have to go back to FDR. "THE NEW DEAL". The moment government was expanded. The right called it communism/ socialism. The left called it the path forward to build a country that worked for everybody. Since then. The left has been congratulatory and believed that continued expansion would result in a greater nation. The right saw the new deal as a mistake. A moment in time that would one day fall under its own bloat. The american public came to accept the "social democracy" state as a birth right an entrenched fact that didnt need guarding. All the while the right worked at erroding the foundations of this system. The right worked hard to turn americans against each other. Always claiming some version of free markets, deregulation and trickle down economics was the best chance for an american to achieve his dream. I still have friends voting red with the belief they will be uber rich one day. The right has worked diligently on the long game. Discredit government services and media as the bad guy in your life. Always with the plan of one day. Getting the average american to vote against his own self interest. Instead voting for the pupe dream of his one day becoming the next Rockefeller. Well. Here we are. Its amazing. The rural poor vote red. They'll never be anything more than a pauper. The screwed over disinfranchised poor. That lost their union job. That watch education decline every year. They vote red. BC one day. They will be rich. Thats the dream the right has sold them. They believe it bc w/o that dream. The reality of poverty is too heavy a burden. Thats always been the struggle. The poor vs the landlord. In china. In france. In europe. In the americas and on the islands. Revolutions came and went. Always the poor rose up. Eventually harnessing the landlords head to the guillotine. The struggle is over. The landlords won for 1 reason. The division of the poor. Turn the "other guy" into a replacement demon. A surrogate for the landlord. Bannon was on Bill Maher this past friday. That is a strange alliance. A jew & an antisemite. Bannon proclaimed loud & proud. " On January 20 2029, Donald Trump will begin his 3rd term as potus". Mahers response. "Its unconstitutional". Yeesh. Is any non red paying attention? Does anyone believe a piece of paper will stop this? I do not. There is only one path to save America. Of the people. For & by the people. Its violent and riddled with lead. Good luck with that. Them reds been stockpiling lead & brass for decades. Veritas. Blues play fair. Reds play for keeps |
