While full time refs would be nice and would be a big improvement, the difference between real-time and being able to watch frame by frame replay on a 4K TV from numerous angles is still going to make us question most calls. And the whole....you can call holding on any given play.....is still a problem as well. Not just offensive holding, but defensive holding past 5 yards. Those guys are always hand fighting and jersey tugging each other all the way down the field. Even the announcers are inconsistent...one will say to keep the flag in your pocket and let them play and the other one is beside themselves that a flag wasn't thrown!! So yes, I do agree that the rule book needs to be scaled back and they need to decide what is holding and what isn't and ONLY call it if it's obvious. There's too much money involved, but they also need to take gambling back out of ALL sports. It causes corruption. Saw a headline about the soccer league in Turkey basically getting rid of everyone due to gambling corruption. I didn't read the article, but that's what it sounded like. I'm sure illegal wagering happens more than we'd like to think.
