Idaho? Elect a dem native in a statewide election? No way.
In a state rep race? Yes. If shes running in a purple or blue district down in sputh east like boise/ Nampa.
Its too bad. Shes not a far left nutjob. She leans more center than liberal.
2 things in her platform that cant get through the state house sonce ive lived here. Raising the $7.25 minimum wage.( Farm jobs are high % employer). And Medicaid expansion. That'un is an extreme 'hot potato' in the spud state. She'll get bashed hard with campaign adds to raise taxes to pay healthcare for homeless drug addicts*.
*That is the perception in this state. Except its near comical. Idaho is a really big small biz, self employment state. That pays low wages and has a low education rate. As a result. Nearly every trumpkin i meet is either on medicare or the aca. Its one of those- dont do as I do. You do what keeps my taxes from raising.
It is the land of fried chickens that always vote for Col. Sanders.
Idaho hasnt voted for a dem as prez since Truman.
For govenor there was a 20 year run in mid 70's thru 95 that saw dems get in to the gov office. Other than that stretch. Its all red from the truman era on.
If trump were to run in 2028. Idaho would vote him in 60-40. Walking, talking illiterate fried chickens i tell ya!
