Thats a big improvement over his prior start in Seattle. Id still like to see the kid play qb alongside a healthy team.
A player I did not expect to play on the short week was Aaron Jones. Much respect on him. The jet sweep by Addison was awesome. Was that his 1st time running that play? I think so, its usually Nailor getting the ball on that play. Nice call by KOC, another self scout, oppo tendencies master class play call. As well, a tip of the hat to the others involved in not drawing a holding call or some other penalty on what was the game winning offense moment.
The defense? Dam man! Flores deserves coach of the year accolades. Sweeping the Lions with an obviously disastrous offense as your parner? That really is something!
And, kudos to me- lol. I might be one of the few that picked the Vikings to outright win this game. Im wishing now I had picked Baltimore to beat the Packers. Why would the Packers do anything other than rest all their nagging injury players the final 2 weeks. Theyd need to win out to catch the bears, and the bears would have to lise their final 2. A loss by the bears to the 49ers is doable. But, if the lions cant manage to beat the vikings. How can they possibly rise up & defeat the bears next weekend at soldier field.
Lefleur would be an idiot to go max effort these final 2 weeks.
Which means, the Vikings will have a legit shot to beat those packers at home to finish the season. Giving them a 9-8 3rd place finish and a 4-2 division record. Tied with the pack for the top division record in the north... Along the way. Totally screwing up their own drafting position. But of course! Lol! Aint our vikings sumthin! Showing max heart now, when the games no longer matter! Why couldnt they show this level back in week 3 vs atl? Or over in Dublin vs Tomlins Steelers? Or the myriad of games in that midseason stretch of rough games? I think... Koc's stubborn belief in his downfield passing game was the vikings 2025 downfall.
Isnt it interesting. The vikings longest win streak if the season coincides with 2 factors. #1- weaker opponents. #2 an offense that leans on its run game more than it has the entirety of KOC's tenure.
Lets hope, the HC has learned a valuable lesson from this season that he carries forward with him the remainder if his Viking tenure....
Now, about that guy running the draft & player acquisition side. Lord knows if he's learned anything. We can hope? Or- pray he's gone. The caveat always is. Change never ensures improvement.
Skol Vikes!
Skol Viking fan- bang that horn today- bc?
You can!
Nice white out win!
