I know, it is football. Only football. And, its barely even that in this era of sports entertainment.
Allowing football, in this era, to influence our moods. Make us angry, upset or despondant?
Its akin to the season finale of survivor being an influence of our mindset come monday morning.

I know this- rationally. Absolutely I do.
Thats the thing tho. Concerning the emotional connection to fictional realities like sports.
Emotion has no bassis in rational thought. "Fan". The word itself is the colloquial shortening of "fanatic".
.*Sigh*- it is what it is. Most of us around here have tried in earnest to divorce our emotions from this ridiculous game. To verying degrees- for varying time frames- we've had success.

Yet, we've done this fan thing for decades now. Asbmuch as our rational sude pursues the divorce going final. Me personally, ive come to realize. It has grown into an inate trait. I enjoy the emotional rollercoaster too much to ever fully divorce myself.

Im already growing sad with the recognition the season is over in a month.

Can we sue? The vikings? For emotional abuse?
Lol, probably not. However. If it ever comes out that the league itself has cinspired against/ for certain teams failure/ success. Yes, there would be a lawsuit available. Of course, only the lawyers would gain anything.

The retention of KAM is criminal malfeasance.
Still, I know bonkers is 99.9% likely correct.
We did see some pull back on the JAM trade value chart in the 2025 draft. Perhaps that was the deal that was struck? Perhaps KOC loves the guy and was full onboard with the yearly mismanagement of assetts? Perhaps Mensah is only the front for directives initiated by the Wilfs. We are not privy to the details. A galg decade later, we barely know any details of the behind the curtain zim/ spielman saga.

All the above said... I am still holding out hope that a new gm is in the works. If not that, then a reimagined directive.

On a separate note- Should Brian Flores get the Raider job. Im hoping aboard the Raiders bandwagon whilst entry is free. I have much respect for both Brady & Flores as well as the ghost of Al Davis. If it goes down? I might change the theme here. Viking + Raiders-

Historically, What was a Viking but the original raiders. What is A raider if not a viking.
They are the same... And? I grew up in Nor Cal listening to Raider Legend Bill King call their games. Watching Lamonica, Stabler, Plunkett. Rooted full bore for Gannon to find success with the silver & black. Loved Madden as HC. Not so much as the tv voice with Al Michaels. Ol John became more schtick than voice of the action. Its never proper, imo, when the story teller overshadows the story. For me, its too much ego & entertainment. I fully realize i am in the minority on this. Still. Its who i am. The story is the story. The bells & whistles distract from the beauty of the event.

Come on Vikings. Fix this Kwesi issue that has the entirety of viking fandom searching for the pepto every draft weekend.
