Thats a bit different than a guy with 10 starts and 4 lost time injuries. And offense liaded up with talent. Not burried under the aftermath of a poor trade. To be fair. JJ is handicapped by a terrible gm and a stubborn HC. While Nix was guided along by a coach with a proven ability to win. A HC that brought his rook qb along slowly in year 1.
Patrick Mahomes gets injured too.
But i wouldnt compare his injury occurrences with JJ Macs... JJ compares more aptly to Jimmy Crapolo. Every step forward followed up with an injury that stepped him backwards.
One final thought. Had the vikings drafted Nix, had McCarthy landed in Denver?
Im not sure KOC would have had success with nix. As well, Payton may have found back to back playoffs with McCarthy.
Coaching does matter- a lot!
Sean Payton is a proven winner. Like him or not.
Itsa fact.
Koc is a proven playoff loser. Like him or not. Itsa fact. Nowhere does coaching ability show up more than in the playoffs.
Koc is 0-3 in the playoffs. Vs a bad Giant team. Then for the division, week 18, 2024 vs detroit... Then blown out vs the rams.
Whats so messed up about it. At the onset of 2025, koc became the highest paid HC in the division at $12m per year.
Meaning?
The wilfs are football idocrisy... Pr geniuses.
