But? Its year 2. Next season will be year 2 with johnson. And another draft class from Ryan Poles who is proving to a good gm. Possibly the best in the nfc north. It was genius move by him to trade for carolinas 2024 #1, in 2023.

Back in 1984? Maybe it was '85- spring camp when Jim McMahon was making headlines accusing overhead airplanes of being spies... I wound up with a man crush on mcmahon. Even went so far as going with a flat top from the barbershop.

Caleb will grow into his role, of that I have little doubt. I like it that johnson has tried to reign in run 1st Caleb. Forced him somewhat, in 2025- to play pocket qb football more than he has in his entire football life. Its going to pay dividends... And when they hoist a lombardi, if they do so soon. I'll celebrate like I been a bears fan forever. Bc thats as close as this viking fan will ever get in his lifetime.

The bears netted 5-6 high quality starters from that trade- including CW, possibly/likely the greatest qb in bears history.

It doesnt have to take 4 or 5 years to retool, if youre willing to think further ahead than the current roster. It appears, to me anyway- poles was looking out over 24,25 & 26 back in 2023.
