Overload te's right formation
Misdirection fake toss right, naked boot left.
One of those te's slides off blocks, sneaks across formation angling to lber level.
Qb has 2 options. Run to the sticks. Toss over the outside lber that got contain & has a dilemna. Tackle qb that has the angle or abandon the te. If the d isnt called to stop this exact play- ie rolling your db's opposite the flow. Anchor the backside de. If that d isnt the call. The offensive call has 100% success.
Im surprised it isnt called more often!
And, if you use it often. You sneak another te in to play lt. Offset the formation so he is eligible.
He takes 5 steps forward after a flail block. Option route from there. Sit. Post the seam, or sluggo left. Adding more pass options.
Virtually unstoppable.
Koc ran it once this year for a McCarthy walk in boot td. Once.
Ne ran a true naked, no options. Inorder to gain the game sealing 1st down in the snow glbe at Mile High. Lol. I called for it on the previous 3rd down. It was open on that play.
Wth was Vance Joseph thinking? Drake Maye is the qb youre defending. Not anticipating the boot coming at some point? Unforgiveable if youre a bronco fan.
I keep hearing the dudes brilliant. Deserves a 2nd try as a hc... Idk. If some hack like I. Watching on tv sees the boot a-comin? I gotta ask. Is that coach a difference maker?
Anybody I can outcoach from my rocking chair? They should be in division 3.
Lol...
I keep sayin it. Nobody gets it. This aint rocket science. Theres only so.many version if run left, run right, sweep/toss. Off tackle. Theres only so many gaps. If you cant scheme up a run game. Scheme to stop one. You belong coaching in D-3!
Koc overthinks it all. Tries for home runs- 2nd level seals instead of focusing on 2-3 yards pre contact. Defending the run isnt all that difficult either. #1 factor. Mass and center of gravity of D line. And then the right muscle build up depending upon each players gravity horizon. Staying low, upright & anchored stops the poa run game & frees lbers to maintain gaps.
That us 60-70% of winning football. Run the ball without tfl. Averaging the arrival of 3rd down at or under 3rd &4... A miss tackle hear or there & you advance the sticks.
Stop the run. Maintain poa wall and gap security. Burying you opponent in 3rd &7+ all day long.
That recipe has been the core. The foundation of winning football for 100 years.
A team starts there. The great coaches? Most of their teams have that basic foundation year in/out.
After that is in place. After your team can run that stuff in a dark room with a greased floor.
Then a coach can expand.
Its called- SHOCK!
THE FUNDAMENTALS.
WHY? Seriously. Why are koc teams so fundamentals challenged?
I watched much of denver rams & seahawks this year... All 3. So fundamentally accurate. Pkay in. Play out.
Is it any wonder? That is 75% of nfl finalists.
Conversely. In watching the vikings. They are opposite of fundamentally sound. Free runner defenders dousing the viking run game with more tfls than i could keep track of.
Is it any wonder. After 4 or 5 seasons. Ol coach Chris Kuper & his assistant were not retained.
Im so jealous. Watching the soundness of scheme these nfl legends of coaching put out there. And frustrated when I hear folks talk up koc.
Next year is year 5 of the regime. Koc is still ignorant of championship class football.
My response?
Go Seahawks!
