They are referring to the sections that deny the current version of constitutional equality.

The original constitution?
White male landowners had the vote. Period.
The law protected those "voters" to do as they wish. To exploit and opress those that werent "voters".

Those of that viewpoint?
The 1st mistake in their opinion was education.

The revolution wasnt fought for the masses to be enabled to shed their chains.
It was to allow the rich & powerful that had risen to the top of the food chain in the new world. For them to be their own masters and gain wealth on the backs of the lower classes. Who, in that contemporary moment. Were most often considered less valuable or worthy than a good horse.

Individualism? Suggesting that type of future for america. Was discussed during the constitutional convention and purposefully left out.
Non land owning humans? Mostly considered necessary to gain a permanent foothold in a land that was populated by savages. The numbers of workers & soldiers increased for that purpose alone. Not the ideals stenciled into the statue of Liberty. Those ideals came from France. Born from Napolean and later expanded through the concept/ philosophy of individualism.

The promise of the statue of liberty. That was a rejected idea when the founding fathers wrote tge declaration of independence. Rejected inorder to get the document ratified. It was one of the top disagreements. Detailed in the federalist papers.
