The Qwesi stuff it just doesn’t seem to add up. I think KOC did want McCarthy, but I also think KOC wanted JJ to stay on the bench for another year after realizing just how bad or raw JJ was. I think the real issue came down to Daniel Jones. Whoever was negotiating with him needed to say you have the job until JJ proves otherwise since Kwesi is the one negotiating with players, I think this one falls squarely on Kwesi.
I believe the Vikings will bring in two quarterbacks and move JJ to third string or even practice squad. One of the QBs will probably be Anthony Richardson. The other might be a late round QB pick. Col Payton Out of NDSU, was named MVP for the national team in the senior bowl. He played after having screws placed in his thumb seven weeks ago and only started throwing two weeks ago. He’s a great runner used to be a running back so using him in some wildcat schemes would be good.
However, this draft is probably as unpredictable as any in Vikings history. I think Rob B is a Not as risk-averse as Kwesi. When it comes to drafting, playing it safe is a losers’s mentality. Also trying to outthink yourself is a huge error. You either take the best player available at Your pic or you move up and get the player you need especially when it comes to quarterback.
The hot rumor right now is that the Raiders realize there are so many holes on that team that drafting a QB right now would probably get him killed. So there is some possibility they would trade out of the first pick in that case you’re probably looking at 3 first round picks and two second round picks along with a player like Jordan Addison. I ran the pro football focus mock draft it took this year‘s first second and third next year‘s first and second and Jordan Addison to get the first overall pick, like I said go big or go home, because with our draft record these past three years, we might as well have done that. Is that ever going to happen? The biggest problem with this team? Is it turtles during the draft?
It’s really something when you find yourself longing for the days of Rick Spielman.
