I'll never forget the look on my sons faces back in '98. They were in. The nfl had finally backed up dads passion. They were understanding it. Suddenly- poof. The magic feeling that comes to a fan. Replaced by shocking heartbreak.
My youngest cried.

A couple days later. My eldest asked me. Whats the point of being a spectator? We have no influence on the results. I couldnt disagree with his point. My only defense, I became addicted to it all in my youth. Playing it. Watching it. Studying it.
