That said- tonights matchup between the 2 medal favorites was truly the most amazing precision ice-capades I have ever witnessed.

Now, as for sweden v canada?

For shame!
Its one of the best things about the sport.
Etiquette and telling on ones self when fouls are made is the accepted and expected occurence in every match. I think.... The swedes, the longest tenured team in these olympics. Are feeling the heat of their own poor play. In the history of curling. Sweden is the winningest country in world championships and olympic medal tally.

Going into the matchup vs the maple leafs. The Men Swedes were 1-4 in pool play. Very likely already eliminated. The swede pairs team did win gold. That probably just irks sven & ollie even more.

The swede mens captain(skip) has no body to blame but himself. He's been awful in the mens tourney so far.

On the other side. Its a tossup which sport is bigger in Canada. Pro Hockey or Pro curling.

That said. The canadian double team was one of the favorites. They got shut out of the medals. Losing to Italy in the bronze matchup.

The mens & womens teams are also favorites. I havent watched any of the womens games yet.

The mens squad is 4-1 but got spanked by the swiss in that line loss. They still have GBR to play.

Its a 10 team round robin prelim. 9 games for each team. To gain the medal round. 6 wins is likely needed as the minimum.

Usa is 4-2. Losses to Swiss (8-3) & Canadians(6-3) looking really overmatched. But theyve won 4 straight since over czech, swedes, Germans & expected medal contender Norway.

The usa team is 25 yr olds & 1 27 yr old. In their 1st olympics. I gotta say. Theyve had some impressive moments. They had canada on the run until late in the match. The swiss? That was an ass whoopin. But it was their 1st moment in the olympics vs the gold medal favorite no less.

Id gladly toss the nfl in a trash can and have sunday curling in its place!
