Mr. Smith goes to Washington has been pjayingnon the oldies network... Such idealism. Such great acting from Jimmy Stewart, Jean Arthur. Claude Rains, Edward Arnold & many of the best character actors of the era... Idealistic as Director Frank Capra was famous of accimplishing, ie- "its a wonderful life".

Ha, before i was a teen, i had been weaned on Capra-esque hollywood schtick. Frank was correft, like my favorite cynical director/ screenwriter- Billy Wilder.
