80's...
Omg so many my friends flipped to country pop and line dancing. Friday night cowboy hats & big belt buckles.
Twerent my taste.
My other friends... Got into Devo, kraftwerk. Clubmusic. Man that was fun! The music never stopped. Bop bop she-bop.... Sweat & sweat & sweat.
Cardio with tequila. Fun times!

The cowboy crowd laughed at me... That ain't music. My kid brother can do that with a Casio & a drum machine. I heard that so many many times. Finally I said to one such arse .. well then. You can buy both for under $200. Go invest & make your million.
He shut up.
Art is art.
Electronica was just a new tool.
W/o creativity, a poetic thought.
It was a dusty Casio and a dart board that was once a drum machine.
Did they realize the 80's pop country was equally over mixed?
My metal head friends said same.
And same answer art is art.
It always needs talent to sell.
Not every body is moved by the same piece of art.
What is the definition of art?
It is that which provokes an emotional response.
Art can be evil
Art can bring joy.
It's still art- art we enjoy?
It's dictated by your senses. The taste buds of your mind & mood.
I hear metal?
Some I enjoy. Some is screechy & annoying.
But that the same across all genres for all of us isn't it?
Mostly I prefer upbeat melodies. Flood the senses stuff. Clever rhythms. Clever lyrics. Great drums!
High drama in sequencing.
Same stuff, different tools. Equally happy, pleasing to my senses.

And the progression continued-
Jazz to electronic pop, and then combine both.
Imo- the greatest album every recorded.
Portiahead, live at Roseland with nyc philharmonic.

The colbert survey. If there's was only 1 album you could bring with you listen to on a remote island...
I'd beg for the video of this concert. Settle for the album if I was forced.
