I've complained a lot about injuries in baseball, but when you get pitchers throwing 100 MPH and with the spin rates they are getting, it's surprising that more guys aren't getting hurt. I think the Cubs have put at LEAST 6 pitchers on the IL so far this year and two of them are done for the year, not the mention the guys on the mend from TJ surgeries last year. Yeah, they are keeping their head above water but they can't sustain this over 162 games. The game has truly come down to a "team" game. You have to have guys down in AAA ready to pitch on short notice. You need guys with options available and you need to be good at juggling your roster. At least on the Cubs transaction wire, there seems to be activity almost EVERY day.
