Not siding with the nfl billionaire boys club?
As a betting man, since it is enahrined in the leagues language. I find it surprising that the race challenged court didnt agree with the nfl. The deferral to arbitration has always been a winning claim for the league. Its kinda crazy. There laws that require government employees get their day in court. This Scotus has shown willingness to ignore those laws.
Yet, in a case where there is a clear path for scotus to step in and had the owners the ruling they desire. Scotus declines.
Am I surprised? Yes! Actually, Im just shy of shocked that the Flores teams gets another moral victory.
Congratulations BF. Can you get some of that winning juice to spray upon the state of play concerning voters/civil rights😉
Whats it all mean?
I think? There is going to be an actual trial.
Will it lead to Flores getting an offer to become an NFL hc again? Probably not. Like all in the billionaire class. Should the NFL lose at trial, there will likely be years of appeals and reams of paper & filings enough to drag this out long enough to age flores out of the conversations.
The most likely outcome will be that the Rooney rule completely disappears. Who know what if anything replaces the NFL version of affirmative action. Maybe? An actual enforceable affirmative action rule...that scotus will then gladly rule as illegal under DEI precedent?
As i often say.... Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it. 20 years from now, with the course this country has started down. Would any of us be surprised to see segregated professional sports makes a return?
Afterall, maga is just a euphemism for white might.
I know its alarmist. Yes indeed.
But who amongst us cant imagine a robo player league, coached by a lilly white collection of AI geeks. Sci-fi hollywood is only fiction until it pushed into reality.
