Good bio. Ive said for years. The best sports minds/ coaches, gm's etc. come from the ranks of failed/ journeyman backups. That make it to their pinnacle of league status via "knowing the game" but challenged athletically.
Kwesi was a basketball player. Wtf is he doing in the nfl?
With that said. One of my assumptions in the hiring if Teasley, is its a slap in the face to Brez. Well, now come the rumors.
Its spreading fast that Brez is getting promoted to prez of football operations(pfo)... And the wilfs are planning to return to the patriots model that began their ownership gig. The "Triangle of Authority".
3 on equal footing: HC, GM & PFO. Equal but separate.
Its a great plan if the 3 chosen can check egos & focus on consensus of whats best for creating a great team. Its an easy thing to start with; however, over time. It always seems like somebodies ego explodes and becomes dominant. See Bellichick, Childress, Jerah Jones.
Find the players, sign the ones that fit best, Coach them up & scheme to their strengths. Putting players in best situation to succeed, will put the team in its best position to succeed. Along the way. There are always hard choices. Who to pay, who to replace, who has the best skill & best fit. What position(s) can be filled with a jag while not damaging the periphery.
Its all a fine line. Kinda like sim city. It all looks great until Godzilla wrecks the nuke plant.
Many years ago I toyed with that game. Godzilla always won... The vikings- they always feel like my sim city, "Twinkville".
Perhaps? My error was in the name. Lol. Shoulda went with "Vikeburg". 1st order if biz- hire a dragon slayer in anticipation of Godzillas arrival.✌️
