I wAs looking at their schedule. A pair of 5 game losing streaks. An 8 game L streak & a 4. 1 6 game & 4 game W streak.... And a bunch of .500 ball in betwixt.
I glanced at the standings. TC, I intend no smack yack concerning the current, past or future of the division. I know the twins arent a very good team as a collection of talent. So far, i think tc has played above the predictive forecast. Mainly bc I believe Shelty is a better manager than Rocco was.
I cant help but think. The Tigers are putting the worst behind them now...and the best of the twins 2026 campaign has already been played. Another week or 2. Detroit is very likely leap frogging tc in the standings.
Is it coincidence that the Twinks are 1-4 since Royce Lewis return and switch to 1b? Im admittedly unsure on that topic. I dont like it that he took the 1b spot from Cody Clemons. According to twins pr. Royce is a loved teamate. Idk, i see Josh Donaldson traits in Lewis. It wasnt until Donaldsons departure that the truth leaked out. Donaldson was club house poison. Is Royce as well? I thought it interesting that the team went on a small streak when Lewis was sent to triple A.
I still believe, as soon as they are offered a deal with good value. Royce should be traded. He's looked rather bad fielding 1b. As well. His hits, when they come. Dont seem to be clutch moments. There is value in his bat for a contender that is willing to use him as a DH/ pinch hitter. Perhaps he would be a better fit on a squad loaded with talent. A role as a contributer with the protection of talent batting behind him that makes pitchers more aggresive in the strike zone?
I see the tigers grabbed Outman off the TC waivers. Good luck with that. Dude has nice speed, good pinch runner. Pretty good defensively. Butter Bat! Plain awful with both the dodgers and TC. A guy with more k's than hits/ walks/ sacrafices combined.
