Re: For a paltry $125

I had season tickets to the Vikings in the early to mid 90s. Some of the most fun I've had going to football games. We drove 10 hours round trip to attend EVERY game. We might have missed a couple preseason games and I know of one game we missed towards the end of the year due to icy roads. But man, what a lot of fun. It was back in the Gannon/Salisbury days. I remember the Star Tribune headline well....It showed a picture of both quarterbacks. The headline said Your Choice, Head of Concrete or Feet of Concrete. Brutal. Then a couple years later we were transitioning from Moon to Johnson. Some dude had a shirt that said You've Seen Our Moon, Now Let Us Show You Our Johnson. Miss those days. After a noon game, we'd get back to Sioux Falls around 9:00 PM and hit the bar for a couple of beers. A lot more fun when we'd win. I used to love going home and watching the highlights on SportsCenter to see their perspective of the game. What does this have to do with Vic's post....nothing really!! Your post just brought back fun memories of going to the games just for the pure joy of it. We weren't very good during most of my years of season tickets. Another newspaper headline I remember...they said the Vikings Browns game would be a "window smasher" game. If you leave 2 tickets to the game on the dash of your car, someone would break your windshield and leave two more!!
