How many of you remember the Vange Swimming pool at the end of Warf lane over the railway. I learnt to swim in that pool and the dykes that ran parallel with the Vange creek. As a very young boy I remember the barges that brought wood up to the warf turning using the large wooden pillows on the bend of Vange and Pitsea creek. Even the rows of house boat that were in Pitsea creek.
