Hello. I was born in a house called 'Argyle', in Rectory Road, long since demolished to apparently make way for the A1235. My mum used to tell the story of pushing me in a pram to take / collect my sister from school, and how it was particularly difficult during the hard winter of 1962/63.
On another note, she and dad rented the big victorian house and took in lodgers - one of whom was a police dog handler, and they had chickens in the large back garden, so my first word other than 'mum' was 'chick-chick'. We moved away when I was just 2 to live in Kent.
