I love this site, some of the photos are amazing!

I set-up a smaller site, BasildonHistory.wix.com/Essex, as I'm tired of all the same tired stereotypes about the town.

My family have lived in the borough for atleast 400 years. Most of these were in Wickford but I have ancestors from Laindon and Basildon during the 1700's and 1800's.

With still more building planned for the area I think it is really important that the borough's history is collected and shared for all to see.
