Hello, I am currently researching my partners family history and have come across his Grandparents living in Annies Lodge, Mopsies Road, Basildon in the 1939 Census. He is recorded in the Census as a disabled incapacitated ex-serviceman. He was serving in WW1 and was affected by Mustard gas. I am curious as to why his grandparents were living in Annies Lodge. This has come as surprise for my partner and family as they all thought that their grandparents lived in East Ham. Was Annies Lodge a place of respite due to the effects of the Mustard gas? He did pass away in 1941 in East Ham. I would be grateful for any help in solving this family history mystery. Many thanks Linda
