Me and my mate Patric Toland blew up the Overhead Line that was put up after the steam days only 6 months before at Timberlog lane bridge in July 1962 we was walking along the sewer that runs over the railway and a load of wire was tangled around our wellingtons so Patrick picked it up and dangled it over the side it then tripped the Overhead line wire there was a very loud bang and flash we rushed out of that sewer i think faster than superman only to be confronted by Shaun Clifford who said "What ya done" i said to him "Don't touch us we are all Electrocuted" we had Arch eyes for the following 5 days in the paper the head lines where "Miracle saved by boots" and then the following week they erected the curved spikes that are still there today
