Kathy, Remember when the water authority quit treating the water, Billy and his crew did not know enough to start treating the water. Or maybe just decided not to treat. Also when they switched to well water there was no treatment. The water supply quickly developed a foul odor and was unsafe for any use. Billy Alcorn was promoting that it was bad anodes in the water heaters that was causing the problem. Several people actually replaced anodes and water heaters I finally confronted him in his office and told him not to insult my intelligence. Also told him if he didn't shock the system with chlorine I was going to file a law suit for gross negligence. Water quality improved a few days later. I also offered the help of my employer's control engineers (World Renown) to design an up to-date instrument control system (I was working on a committee to help MUD 12 Trouble shoot their problems at the time). Never heard back. Additionally I recommended that MUD 12 hire an operating company to operate the water treating and sewage treatment plant. There is a lot of science involved as well as art in the operations of these types of facilities. Never heard back. I believe I posted that on the Message Board. Ken as I posted once before, you are ignorant of what went on with the previous Board and their mode of operation. Every time you post about how great they were you just chip away at your credibility. On another front it is almost impossible to believe the amount of "head in the sand" attitude exhibited by the current board.
