Sadly, we report 5 additional deaths today:
. A male, age range 61-70, passed away June 23. He had pre-existing medical conditions.
. A male, age range 51-60, passed away June 25. He had pre-existing medical conditions.
. A male, age range 81-90, passed away June 27. He had pre-existing medical conditions.
. A male, age range 81-90, passed away June 29. He had pre-existing medical conditions.
. A female, age range 81-90, passed away June 30. She had pre-existing medical conditions.
This marks the largest number of new cases reported in a single day in Galveston County. Today’s report includes a testing increase of 1,990 putting the testing positivity rate at 13.6 percent.
Galveston County, please do your part to slow the spread of this virus:

😷 Wear a face covering in public spaces
↔️ Stay at least 6 feet from other people
🖐 Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
