👉 73 new recoveries, county total at 1,001
👉 59,486 total Galveston County residents tested
Sadly, we report one additional death today:
. A male, age range 91 and older, passed away on June 28. He had pre-existing medical conditions.
Today’s report includes a testing increase of 1,671 putting the testing positivity rate at 12.7 percent.
📢 The health district will report a case update on Friday, July 3
📢 No case update will be reported on Saturday, July 4 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
📢 Additionally, beginning Sunday, July 5, the health district will no longer report a case update on Sundays. Case updates that would normally be reported on Sundays will now be included in the Monday report.
Galveston County, please do your part to slow the spread of this virus:

😷 Wear a face covering in public spaces
↔️ Stay at least 6 feet from other people
🖐 Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
