Sorry Connie Mac, but the logistics just got too overwhelming for me. Going down the bayou from the old Pete's just got too tough. Also, it would only pass by those houses that were facing the bayou, not the majority of Original BV which are not front line. I changed it many, many years ago, so that we could continue the tradition with enough boats to last most of the parade. This has come up before, but never reached a suitable arrangement.
So sorry you think it is SHAME, SHAME. You are always welcome to stop by my place (with the Grandkids) when they are gathering in front for the kick-off, or visit a friends place in BV2. Sometimes we have to make decisions which are tough.
