I do not condone what happened at the capitol yesterday. It was counterproductive, ugly and without merit.

I do understand the frustration that allowed it to come to fruition. That frustration still lurks barely under the surface. I pray our new leadership finds a way to ratchet down the level of division but I'm worried. We stand at a crossroad as a nation
