Specifically, a city employee had close contact to a person on Sunday, January 3rd. That other person then tested positive for Covid on Friday, January 8th. The employee worked all week in city offices and reported the exposure Friday, the same day that the results of the positive test were known. No one who works for the city has reported a positive Covid test to date.
Out of an abundance of caution, I decided to have City Hall decontaminated and contacted President of MUD12 Richard Matthews, who decided to have the whole MUD12 building done.
Thank you for your patience. The City will be reopening as soon as it is safe for both our staff and the public.
