Drivers should avoid areas of Interstate 45 around the northbound FM 519 frontage road and the southbound FM 1765 frontage road because of flooding, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Crews closed both of these areas because of high water in the areas, according to the department.

A Tweet from the department noted the area near FM 1765 may not open until Friday afternoon.
