A cold front will push across Southeast Texas on Wednesday (1/18/2023), bringing showers and storms across the region.
Some of these storms could become strong to severe.
Showers should begin to develop across the region early Wednesday morning, with activity increasing throughout the day in advance of a cold front.
The strongest of these storms are expected to develop along the front itself, which should reach College Station around 8-10AM, Houston around noon to 2PM and Galveston by 2-4PM.
Some of these storms may become strong to severe at times, capable of producing strong, damaging winds.
Galveston east Hazards/Impacts: Some storms could become strong to severe. Damaging winds the primary threat, NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE Houston/ Galveston especially along front. Localized heavy rainfall. 'Be weather aware and weather prepared!'
