Gulf Freeway closures in League City/Webster allow for sign bridge installation

UPDATE 8:20 AM on 7/19/2023: TxDOT updated the closure on I-45 to all lanes in both directions between FM 518 and the NASA Bypass.

The Gulf Freeway in League City and Webster will have total closures including one that will close all northbound and southbound lanes.

These closures are to allow for the installation of a sign bridge that holds freeway signs.

All lanes of northbound and southbound Interstate 45 between FM 518 and the NASA Bypass will be closed from 6 AM Saturday (7/22/2023) through 12 PM Sunday (7/23/2023).

The southbound I-45 entrance ramp from Bay Area Boulevard will be closed from 6 AM Saturday (7/22/2023) through 12 PM Sunday (7/23/2023). Traffic will exit southbound I-45 using the exit ramp to FM 528 and continue on the feeder, reentering southbound I-45 using the entrance ramp from the NASA Bypass.

The northbound I-45 entrance ramp from FM 518 will be closed from 6 AM Saturday (7/22/2023) through 12 PM Sunday (7/23/2023). Traffic will enter northbound I-45 using the entrance ramp from FM 528.

The southbound I-45 exit ramp to FM 518 will be closed from 6 AM Saturday (7/22/2023) through 12 PM Sunday (7/23/2023). Traffic will exit southbound I-45 using the exit ramp to FM 528 and continue on the southbound feeder towards FM 518.
