Gulf Freeway sees Saturday closures near Tiki Island

This Saturday (6/29/2024), there will be a couple of closures on northbound Interstate 45 in the area of Tiki Island.

The northbound I-45 entrance from Tiki Drive and the exit ramp to Tiki Drive will both be closed Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Detour to Tiki Island:

Travel northbound to exit 7A, U-turn at the SH 146 intersection, enter southbound I-45, continue south to exit 4 for Tiki Island.

Northbound traffic from Tiki Island:

Use the southbound I-45 entrance, continue south to exit 1C to Harborside Drive, U-turn at Harborside, use the northbound I-45 entrance ramp to enter the main lanes.

Additionally, northbound I-45 from the Galveston Causeway to Tiki Drive will have 1 outside lane closed Saturday, 9 AM to 3 PM.
