After a slow start, day one-one of the two trucks broke down and the one working completed 1/2 of Blue Heron, day two-two trucks but filled up quickly and had 3 hour waits at the dump, then a little more work per street was finished and the Waste Connections guys started working extra days. Finally the debris and household trash is being collected. There was/is confusion of bagged or not, what is each company responsible for, etc. Things have been clarified between the companies and the city is beginning to look and smell much better. The big claw truck is slow but they are getting the job done and their ground crew work really hard to leave the streets and driveways neat and clean. Today the claw truck began on Redfish and Waste Connections returned. They should have us back to normal in another couple of day. The big FEMA truck is scheduled to come back next Wed. and the pick up of paint and household chemicals, etc. should start tomorrow.
