Just back from talking with the Response crew and this is the current schedule.
The grapple truck is working other contracts because BV took much more time than they estimated. They came to BV yesterday at 4:30 p.m., worked until the truck was full. which was 6:30. They finished Dolphin and both sides of Tarpon. They will do the same schedule until they complete the run through all of BV. The streets with low hanging power lines are slower than when they get to the streets with no overhead lines.
The trucks picking up hazard household materials and paint, electronics and the white goods should be complete. I you have something in those categories you can ask them to come by and pick them up. They cannot mix the categories of debris.
Waste Connections collected household trash Monday and some residents expected them to pick up the contracted debris. They will be back on their regular schedule so that misunderstanding will be eliminated.
If your have questions please email me at islesea@aol.com and I will respond as my schedule allows. Council meets at 6:30 p.m. this evening and public comments will be at the end of the agenda. Hopefully by then a lot of questions will have been answered.
