Wow, our city had not seen such a large attendance at a City Council meeting since after Ike and the Tres Amigos era.
The agenda had no mention of our recent storm, and under Mayor’s Comments: none.
Many folks addressed their concerns and frustrations to the city representatives, some a bit loudly.
What none of us could understand is why the Mayor did not take the opportunity to address the citizens she is supposed to represent. She had pushed the mute button, and left it on for the entire meeting. Most of us would have been happy to hear something from the Mayor.
Big disappointment for the mayority of Bayou Vista citizens.
We deserve better.
What will happen when the next storm comes along?
Will there be communication from the City to the citizens?
