We have a newly sanctioned committee for our city, the Bayou Vista Emergency Preparedness Committee. As Vicki Lumb, Alderman 1, i have been requested to be the chairperson for this project, and I am looking for volunteers.

I would like to have representatives from each of the streets/canals since the impact to each, after this most recent storm, was not equally felt by all of the residents. In order for the committee to be effective, I will need a commitment from each of the volunteers to be willing to attend regular meetings to discuss and give input on ways to make our city better prepared for future disasters. This is a project that could take several months to complete as we want to make sure that we have a comprehensive plan thwat can be implemented.
