—> MUD building emergency generator grant APPROVED!! <—
After five years of working with the county and federal government, the grant to assist us in procuring a 150 KW emergency generator for the MUD building has panned out and been approved this week by the board.
The county estimates they will start the installation process first part of December.
The generator will be located on the side of the building in an elevated platform to ensure it and its fuel supply are protected from storm surge and ready if needed.
With the building housing the MUD and city offices along with both the police, and fire departments, the generator will ensure that all agencies needed to keep the city safe and functional after any type disaster will be able to do so.
