The Bayou Vista Christmas Boat Parade started in the 70's. I am not sure which year. We moved to Omega Bay in 1978 and were on the Social Committee in 1980. The social committee consisted of 8 couples who planned all the events. We even did bingo every Friday night. In 1980 the boat parade went to Omega Bay and Bayou Vista. I remember one of the boats was lite up like a Mississippi Paddle Boat and the Taylors had Mickie, Minnie and Pluto costumes on. Our boat had a huge star, and we were the 3 wisemen. Does anyone remember when the Christmas Boat Parade begin?
