7/15 UPDATE: The closure has been postponed by 1 day due to complications. NEW CLOSURE DATE: 9 PM Wednesday July 16th to 5 Am July 17th.

🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT – I-45 Southbound Exit Closure at SH 6/SH 146 🚧
TXDOT contractors will close the I-45 southbound exit ramp to SH 6/SH 146 at the Texas City Wye to switch the ramp to a new configuration.
Closure Begins: Tuesday, July 16 at 9:00 PM
Reopens: Wednesday, July 17 at 5:00 AM
Detour Instructions:
▪️Southbound traffic will continue on I-45 and take the Tiki Island/Virginia Point Rd exit.
▪️Use Virginia Point Rd to U-turn onto I-45 northbound.
▪️From there, take the SH 146/SH 3 exit (Exit 7A).
▪️Use the U-turn lane at SH 3/SH 146 to reach southbound SH 146/westbound SH 6 toward Bayou Vista, Omega Bay, and Hitchcock.
