As we embark on this weather event, now is a great time to remind everyone of the importance of the STEAR registry. Below is a bit of information about this valuable resource. Also noteworthy is the fact that you can sign up for the registry after an event such as surgery leaves you vulnerable and unable to drive, then you can remove yourself later. It is great for peace of mind for those whose aged relatives live here in Bayou Vista or any other place in Texas, where they are unable to be there at a moments notice. STEAR is a free service that also allows our Emergency Management Coordinator access to the registry that can help enable us to know who we might need to check on in times like these.
