It has been brought to my attention that there might be some confusion regarding the upcoming elections in Texas for 2026. There will be a polling station set up in the MUD 12 Building for both the Texas Primary and later for the General/Special Election for the City of Bayou Vista.
 
1)    Texas will hold its 2026 primary elections on March 3. On the ballot are many statewide seats, including governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, land commissioner, agriculture commissioner, comptroller and more. Early voting begins Feb. 17. If no candidate receives a majority of the vote in the primary, the top two vote-getters will compete in a runoff on May 26. Visit the website, www.ballotready.org to get a listing of the candidates running for open positions in the primary election.
 
2)   For the City of Bayou Vista, the election is on May 2nd, with Early Voting beginning on April 20th.
